Today, the original name, Battletest Directors Cut, has been renamed to Patch 1.07, something that should have been done a long time ago by EA, as previously mentioned. the Gamereplays Patch Series was created in order to polish the game from the awful state that 1.06 left it in. After MaDDoX did most of the 2.x series, Rainmaker directed the last few in that series, followed by myself designing the 3.x series. This patch was going to be the official one, as promised by EA but due to inadequate funding it never ended up happening. Q) Who made Patch 1.07 and why was it made?Ī) Originally, the Gamereplays Patch Series was designed by MaDDoX, an unofficial affiliate of EA who liased with Aaron, the EA community manager back at the time. Had EA continued to support BFME2 1.07 would have also become official, based on Gamereplays changelog. 1.07 is simply a fine, fine tune of 'our' 1.06 patch. I am proud to announce the release of Patch 1.07, the patch EA promised to Gamereplays but never delivered.
